The Great American Let Down Town Hall
In celebration of #NationalBreastfeedingAwarenessMonth, Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) has partnered with Mural Arts Philadelphia to host a virtual event, The Great American Let Down Town Hall on August 31st.
We recently unveiled the Milkscapes art project displayed at our Early Head Start center in South Philadelphia and we’re continuing the conversation surrounding reproductive healthcare access in our area through this event. As our CEO, Marianne Fray said to the Philadelphia Inquirer, “Art can galvanize action – so the intersection of art, advocacy, policy change, and motherhood just seems natural.”
Join us as we shed light on the landscape of reproductive healthcare through the lens of art, policy, design, and the legal system.
Panelists Include:
Hadassah Colbert, Healthy Families America Advocate III, MCC
Aimee Gilmore, Artist and Advocate
Tara Murtha, Director of Strategic Communications, Women’s Law Project
Céshia Elmore, Community Organizer, New Voices for Reproductive Justice
Moderated by: Gabriella Nelson, Associate Director of Policy, MCC
