A Record-Breaking Celebration for MCC

2025 CMB
Reflecting on this year's theme: Raising Babies Who Are Healthy, Growing, and Thriving.

On May 10th, 2025, Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) held our 21st annual Celebrating Mothers Brunch, presented by J&L Building Materials, Inc.

This year, over 400 members of the MCC community joined us to eat, drink, connect, bid, and reflect on our theme: Raising Babies Who Are Healthy, Growing, and Thriving.

We were honored to have Dr. Dan Taylor, the recipient of the Strengthening Families Award, join us to share his reflections on this year’s theme and his groundbreaking work supporting vulnerable children and families. While Tatyana Ali, the recipient of the Spirit of Motherhood Award, was unable to be with us in person, we were humbled and touched to be able to share her recorded conversation with MCC Board Chair Ebony Staton about her own motherhood and birth justice journey. 6abc’s Tamala Edwards returned again to host the brunch, beginning the program by sharing her own experiences and insights into our theme and MCC’s work throughout the year!

Thanks to the support of our sponsors, donors, and guests, Celebrating Mothers Brunch raised over $290,000 this year. This record-breaking amount will positively impact the health and well-being of pregnant people and parenting families across Pennsylvania and Delaware.

We are truly moved each year by our community’s enthusiasm: many make the brunch a family affair, bringing together multiple generations at a single table to support MCC’s work. It is a unique opportunity (both in person and from afar) to celebrate MCC’s critical mission to improve the health and well-being of pregnant people and parenting families and enhance school readiness for children 0-3.

We can’t wait to see you at next year’s Celebrating Mothers Brunch on May 9th, 2026—Save the date!
