Meeting Families Where They Are

2024 was a year of growth and transformation at Maternity Care Coalition (MCC)!

This past year, we've expanded into two new counties, and our scope of services has increased to include reproductive healthcare resources and referrals. Our service expansion has allowed us to meet more families in Pennsylvania, where they are, in their communities.

Last year, MCC hosted and attended 345 community outreach events throughout Philadelphia, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Northampton counties.

In 2024, one of our new initiatives, Community Pop-Up Events, allowed our Community Engagement Services team to supply diapers, wipes, menstrual products, and sexual health products, provide safe sleep education and vaccine education, and connect families to vital services. These Community Pop-Up Events occurred at local health centers, food banks, schools, and other high-traffic areas throughout our service region.

Through Community Pop-Up Events, we created strong partnerships with trusted community programs, such as the City of Philadelphia Health Centers, Planned Parenthood, Murphy's Giving Farm, and Harvest Ministries Food Pantry. These community centers served as a site to meet and build bonds with families in the community.

As we progress into 2025, our Community Engagement Services team will continue to meet families in their neighborhoods and provide them with essential resources and education. We are committed to assisting families and birthing people throughout all stages of life with the resources they need to grow and thrive.

We are excited to continue providing supplies and support through our community outreach and Community Pop-Up Events in 2025!
