Samantha Harclerode
Samantha is guided by her passion for social impact and leadership development. She possesses demonstrated strengths in the areas of philanthropy, fundraising, relationship building, communications, and team management. As MCC’s Vice President of Advancement and External Affairs she oversees the Development, Grants, and Marketing, Communications, and PR teams. Before joining MCC, Samantha spent six years at The University of Pennsylvania in fundraising. Before working at Penn, she worked at ACHIEVEability as a social worker. Prior, Samantha held various positions in fundraising raising philanthropic capital for groups such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and an HIV/AIDS center in South Africa. Samantha served as a Teaching Assistant for Penn’s Master’s degree in Non-Profit Leadership for over 5 years and was also on the alumni board of the Non-Profit Leadership Program at The School of Social Policy. She currently serves as an alumni board member for Susquehanna University and previously served on The Spruce Foundation board. Samantha earned her M.S. in Non-Profit Leadership from Penn and holds a B.A. in International Studies from Susquehanna University. Samantha loves being a mother and is dedicated to creating a world where all families can birth and parent with support and dignity.
