Samantha Harclerode

Samantha is guided by her passion for social impact and leadership development. She possesses demonstrated strengths in the areas of philanthropy, fundraising, relationship building, communications, and team management. As MCC’s Vice President of Advancement and External Affairs she oversees the Development, Grants, and Marketing, Communications, and PR teams.  Before joining MCC, Samantha spent six years at The University of Pennsylvania in fundraising. Before working at Penn, she worked at ACHIEVEability as a social worker. Prior, Samantha held various positions in fundraising raising philanthropic capital for groups such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and an HIV/AIDS center in South Africa. Samantha served as a Teaching Assistant for Penn’s Master’s degree in Non-Profit Leadership for over 5 years. Previously, she has served on boards such the alumni board of the Non-Profit Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania, the alumni board at Susquehanna University, as well as The Spruce Foundation in Philadelphia. Samantha earned her M.S. in Non-Profit Leadership from Penn and holds a B.A. in International Studies from Susquehanna University. Samantha is a mother of 2, enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling with her family.
