Philadelphia, PA — Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a community-based nonprofit organization serving Pennsylvania and Delaware with over four decades of commitment to improving maternal and child health and early care and education, has been awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services to establish a Community Reproductive Health program. MCC will broaden its scope of services to include reproductive healthcare access and expand ongoing work into two new counties, Chester and Berks Counties.

Marianne A. Fray, President and CEO, Maternity Care Coalition

“As we move into 2024 with energy and focus, MCC welcomes new opportunities to integrate Community Reproductive Health services, broadening and expanding our impact. MCC’s radically community-centered approach continues to be nimble in response to the needs of the communities we serve, and we look forward to establishing our services in new communities across Pennsylvania, and strengthening MCC’s continuum of care, providing maternal, sexual, and reproductive health support and resources for individuals and families across a lifespan.”

MCC provides individual and family support through a range of services, including reproductive health access, home visiting, behavioral health, community-based education, and birthing and parenting support. The Community Reproductive Health program provides maternal, sexual, and reproductive health support and resources for individuals and families. Reproductive health support services will include; prenatal care and postpartum supports; early detection and prevention of health conditions; parenting education programming; menstrual and reproductive health education and products as needed; sexually transmitted infection testing and care or referrals; and referrals for assistance with other physical or behavioral health care needs.

MCC currently serves Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, Northampton, and Lehigh Counties, as well as the State of Delaware and will be expanding services into Chester and Berks Counties. A new brick and mortar location will be opened in Bucks County.
