At Large

Nicole Kelm is a social impact leader with over 15 years of experience. Her current work focuses on equipping key decision makers to accelerate change, strengthening local ecosystems, and driving social impact innovation and learning to create healthier communities. She is a strategist specialized in public health/healthcare with experience in both the public and private sector in the US and abroad. She worked for organizations such as Deloitte, the US Navy, the Peace Corps, the World Food Program and the World Health Organization. She supports transformation of health systems by leveraging a unique set of experiences - public-private, military-civilian, global-domestic, implementer-strategist - to serve communities that need it most.

Nicole holds Bachelor of Health Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Andrew’s University, a Master’s of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an Executive Master’s of Business Administration from Howard University. She also holds a Master’s certificate from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Global Health Engagement. She teaches as Adjunct Faculty specialized in Women’s Health at the Meharry School of Global Health and in the Doctor of Science Program at Andrews University. Nicole has served as a military Reservist and is an Advisory Board Member for the University of New England Graduate Schools of Public Health and Maternity Care Coalition.

Nicole serves on the Board of MCC because its mission to improve maternal and child health outcomes closely aligns with her career-long commitment to advancing health and strengthening systems that serve women and families.  She is drawn to MCC’s community-based model and advocacy for families across Pennsylvania and hopes to contribute by leveraging her cross sector experience to bring others to the table. She deeply believes in supporting organizations like MCC, that address the conditions in which we all live, work, and play, to ensure that families—particularly those most impacted by inequities—have access to high-quality care and resources needed to thrive.
