An Evening with the Advocates Giving Society
In 2023, MCC launched the Advocates Giving Society, our annual giving society recognizing donors who donate $2,500 or more. On November 15, 2023 we were thrilled to host our inaugural Advocates Giving Society event.
The feeling of community was palpable among the nearly 60 attendees, including Advocates Giving Society members and community funders and partners, who joined us at the P4 Hub in Philadelphia for an evening of networking and poignant discussion.
The highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring New York Times bestselling author and columnist, Linda Villarosa, as well as MCC’s own Samia Bristow, Vice President of Programs, and Karen Pollack, Executive Vice President of Programs and Operations. 6abc anchor Tamala Edwards—who will also be joining MCC on April 13th to host our annual Celebrating Mothers Brunch—guided the conversation about the state of maternal health on a local and national level, and MCC’s role as an organization in addressing health disparities in the communities we serve.
The conversation closed with a call to action: stay involved and stay connected with MCC to continue to amplify our work and impact.
We look forward to hosting more of these events in the future. If you have any questions about how you can support MCC or about the Advocates Giving Society, please contact Candy Hagamin, Director of Individual and Corporate Giving, at [email protected].
