What is the Family Care Act?

The PA Family Care Act is a proposed law in Pennsylvania that would provide paid family and medical leave for workers. This means that employees could take time off to care for a new child, a sick family member, or their own health issues, and still receive a portion of their salary. The goal is to support families during critical times without the burden of losing income.

"We know families come first in Pennsylvania. We are proud that our state is pro-family – and we want to keep it that way. It’s why the Family Care Act is so important, and why our General Assembly should move quickly to support this vital legislation."
