“This is a full circle moment.” Were the words of Mr. Steven Scott Bradley, Maternity Care Coalition (MCC)’s 2019 Driving Fatherhood Award recipient as he accepted his award on Monday, June 17th, 2019. Over 100 people filled the Magnolia Ballroom at Talamore Country Club in Ambler, PA to support their friend, colleague and family member as well as to help raise funds for MCC’s Early Head Start program.

Mr. Steven Scott Bradley was selected as this year’s honoree due to his commitment to supporting families and his community in both business and his personal life. Steven is the President/CEO of Bradley & Bradley Associates, Inc. and has deep roots in the greater Philadelphia region. He is a 30-year veteran in the insurance industry and serves on a combined 24 boards and commissions. Additionally, he is an alumni of Early Head Start and an advocate for education and economic equity mentoring many young men over the years and being an impactful role model to others.

This year marked the 14th year for the event that draws golfers and supporters of MCC from all over the Delaware Valley. While the highlight of the day is the Driving Fatherhood Awards ceremony, after the festivities have come to an end, golfers practice their putting and rally around the flagpole to be reminded of the rules for the day before heading on to the green. Golfers and staff members alike were grateful that the anticipated rain and thunderstorms held out so that a full round of golf could be played on what some would consider “a perfect overcast day for golf.” The fantastic Talamore staff again supported the over 70 golfers, and brunch and cocktail hour attendees with their needs and MCC is grateful for their continued support.

Thanks to our event attendees, donors and sponsors, over $42,000 was raised in support of our Early Head Start program. MCC is honored to have had the backing of many sponsors. We want to again, give a special thank you to our Swag sponsor, Brandywine Realty Trust. Our Beverage Cart Sponsor, Einstein Health Network. And finally, our 2019 Registration Sponsor, Volpe & Koenig P.C. We will be able to help even more families through early childhood education and in-home family support thanks to all who contributed to this event.

MCC would also like to give a special thank you to City of Philadelphia Councilwoman Cherelle Parker and Pennsylvania State Representative Morgan Cephas for presenting our honoree with special recognition for his contributions to our community. Additionally, this event would not have happened without the support of our incredible committee. Thank you to our co-chairs Rhonda Bailey and David Dormont and their committee members: Eric Hoffman, Sherman Fray and Chris Satullo.

Lastly, we would like to wish a hearty congratulations to all of the golf winners:
