Join Maternity Care Coalition, She Can Win, and community advocate Tiffany Newmuis for She Breathes Life, a virtual yoga and guided meditation class led by yoga and meditation instructor Leslee Frye. This event will unite and encourage women of all ages and backgrounds to honor themselves and the life they give while supporting Maternity Care Coalition’s work with families impacted by racial and social inequities in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Get ready to transform your home into a yoga studio for an hour-long session of togetherness, relaxation, and meditation.

She Breathes Life will be held on April 17, 2021, to coincide with Black Maternal Health Week, an initiative founded by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance designed to further advance health equity among racial and ethnic minorities.

Founded in 2013, She Can Win is a movement that supports, educates, invests in, and empowers women who have a passion for civic leadership. Dedicated to creating parity in politics and public office, She Can Win provides training and resources to women interested in running for office and working on political campaigns. The movement advocates for women of color by partnering with community-focused organizations and officials to lobby legislation.

Since 1980, Maternity Care Coalition has assisted more than 140,000 families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns.
