C-sections and baseball: Not a good mix

Last week former NFL quarterback and current WFAN commentator Boomer Esiason commented on the paternity leave of New York Mets’ second baseman Daniel Murphy to be with his wife while she delivered their baby. “Quite frankly,” Esiason said, “I would’ve said, ‘C-section before the season starts. I need to be at opening day.’”

Sequester cuts services for vulnerable children

The 5.27% budget cuts impacted our three EHS programs based in Norristown, Pottstown and South Philadelphia. As one of the largest providers of Early Head Start services in Pennsylvania, we have felt the pain of these devastating cuts. As a result we’ve been forced to cut EHS services for 24 families in Pennsylvania.
