MCC’s Director of Public Policy Letty Thall,was honored by women’s eNews for her lifelong career advocating for women’s issues. Letty has worn many hats during her career as an advocate for women and children in Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Philadelphia police force, vice president of the Pennsylvania Women’s Campaign Fund board, Co-founder of Women’s Way and Vice Chair for the Mayor’s Commission for Women.
In her most recent role at MCC, she has overseen the development of community education campaigns, public policy recommendations in maternal child health, and the monitoring of prenatal care services for low-income families. She has also led a statewide effort to expand family-friendly health insurance policies through MCC’s Insuring Motherhood campaign.
“I plan to continue to champion the need for women’s health care and inclusion of all our needs in health insurance,” Thall says.
