Deputy Director of Finance
MCC seeks an experienced professional to provide leadership to MCC’s accounting department and team. The Deputy Director of Finance works under the direction of the Director of Finance and Administration and is a member of the Leadership Team. The Deputy is responsible for the monitoring of the day to day functions of the accounting staff and for reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, payroll and journal entries. Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports and the administration of the accounting system. Supports the annual budget process, program budgeting and reporting, annual audit, internal controls and Finance Policies and Procedures.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with nonprofit accounting and progressive management experience.
• Excellent analytic and quantitative skills. Must be proficient in Excel and able to understand and analyze complex funding streams, cost allocations, and variances.
• Experience with compliance of federal, state and local governmental contracts.
• Experience implementing system improvement initiatives.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels of stakeholder groups.
• Ability to support and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

MCC seeks a full time Program Assistant who will provide administrative and programmatic support for the North Philadelphia Breastfeeding & Community Doula Program, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, materials and handouts, and writing minutes. The Program Assistant will assist with the planning and preparation of childbirth and breastfeeding classes and the annual Community Doula and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor trainings.
The Program Assistant will provide detail-oriented support with the coordination of the Community Doula match program, including communicating with pregnant families and doulas, data entry and analysis.
Other duties include managing program and office supplies, securing donations of incentives and gift items for families, assisting with preparation of monthly and annual program reports, and providing social media support with Twitter and Facebook to promote program activities.
Associates Degree required. Bachelors of Arts preferred. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of maternal and infant health and wellness, particularly childbirth and breastfeeding.
