Early Head Start Director | Montgomery County

The Early Head Start Montgomery County Director will provide leadership for MCC’s EHS program located in Pottstown and Norristown PA. This position is responsible for program design, oversight of record-keeping and monitoring systems and overall implementation, coordination and supervision of EHS center-based childcare partnerships and home-based services. S/he will directly supervise program management staff and oversee the structure, systems and procedures to facilitate positive school readiness outcomes.

Minimum 3 years of management in an Early Head Start/Head Start program; work with pregnant women or infants and toddlers; and supervision experience strongly preferred. Master’s degree in social work, education or related field required.

Early Head Start Advocate

An Advocate is needed for The Early Head Start program to conduct home visiting with pregnant women and families with young children ages 0 – 3 to provide health education, connect them to needed health care and other community resources and promote child development. The Advocate maintains relationships with identified clients and provides support via weekly home visits. They will also attend community meetings and trainings, keep accurate written records; and uses organization database. We seek motivated individuals, knowledgeable about community resources, with good computer skills. Ability to work well with people, good organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. High school diploma required. Associate/ Bachelor degree strongly encouraged.

Healthy Families America Case Manager | North Philadelphia

Healthy Families America MOMobile seeks a full-time Case Manager responsible for providing in-home case management services to pregnant and newly parenting women including: assessment, referral, follow-up, monitoring and emotional support.   The Case Manager screens women for depression; helps clients access and utilize all necessary health and human services; helps women maintain their families’ primary health care; facilities educational activities to promote healthy child growth and development, to foster bonding and attachment; maintains careful records of all client contacts both in a paper file and in an online data base.

This position is located in North Philadelphia.  Bilingual English/Spanish Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, counseling, public health or closely related field preferred. Healthy Babies Coordinator

MCC seeks a self-motivated individual to fill the Coordinator position for a new program, Healthy Babies.  This program will work with babies and caregivers, during NICU stays for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) due to fetal exposure to opioids or other substances, and after hospital discharge.  The Coordinator will provide administrative oversight of the Healthy Babies program and collaborate with funders and other community partners.  The Coordinator will also maintain a small home-visiting caseload, providing culturally sensitive education and case management to mothers and/or other care-givers.  Services will be provided in Philadelphia and surrounding counties.  The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, interest in maternal and child health, and at least 2 years’ experience in the substance abuse field.  Master’s degree in social work or related field strongly preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.  Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
