Director of Organizational Development

MCC seeks an experienced Director of Organizational Development to manage and support the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of all MCC staff. This position may be filled as a part-time or full-time position.

A Master’s Degree in organizational development, social work, human resources, counseling or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered; SHRM/HRCI Certified Professional and or Training Generalist certification preferred.

Database Administrator

The Program Evaluation Department seeks an energetic professional with excellent quantitative and database management skills to maintain and manage the agency’s performance management system, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).  The Administrator will be responsible for overall design, maintenance and management of ETO, training new staff and providing user support. The position also entails overseeing staff data entry and performing monthly Quality Assurance reviews for all programmatic data.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree. At least 1-2 years of experience in data management and program evaluation required. Experience in ETO preferred. In addition you must be customer-service oriented and highly responsive to program staff’s needs.

Case Manager | MOMobile Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a national program with the overall goal of addressing infant mortality, low birth weight and racial disparities in perinatal outcomes. MCC seeks a Case Manager responsible for providing culturally sensitive home visiting, health education and case management services to pregnant and newly parenting women including: assessment, referral, follow-up, monitoring, emotional support, and needed supportive services.

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of maternal child health or other community health issues; experience providing services in a community setting; and excellent communication skills. Valid driver’s license and Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Food Buying Club Assistant

MCC seeks a Food Buying Club Assistant responsible for coordinating activities that support healthy eating for Early Head Start children and their parents, including: implementing program reminder systems, member ordering, food package distribution, volunteer hour monitoring, payment collection including SNAP documentation, implementing educational programs and developing partnerships with community partners. Qualified candidates will have experience providing services in a community setting; general knowledge of wellness for adults and children; and excellent organization and communication skills.  High school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Bilingual (Spanish or Indonesian) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a part-time, one year grant-funded position with the possibility of renewal.

EHS Parent Engagement Associate | South Philadelphia

The Parent Engagement Associate (PEA) provides general support and training to center based parents in the Early Head Start program. The  PEA is responsible for organizing monthly parent meetings which provide resources and workshops for parents. The PEA is also responsible for maintaining and supporting the EHS male involvement initiative.  The Parent  Engagement Associate assists enrolled families in their efforts to improve the condition and quality of life and access critical health and human services. The  PEA provides support and education for maintaining good health and promoting child development. Services extended to families may also include referrals, educational and recreational programming, crisis intervention and advocacy. The  PEA coordinates and delivers services to center based families as well as to families transitioning into other programs and/or service delivery options. The  PEA is expected to provide services to families of up to 48 children enrolled in EHS classroom program.

We seek a motivated individual who is knowledgeable about community resources, and has strong written and verbal skills.  Bachelor’s degree in human service or related field, or background in case management; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Bilingual required.  Candidates should also be self-directed and flexible and have good record keeping and organizational skills, experience helping families set and achieve goals and the ability to work well in groups.

EHS Family Advocate Floater | South Philadelphia

An Advocate is needed for The Early Head Start program to conduct home visiting with pregnant women and families with young children ages 0 – 3  to provide health education, connect them to needed health care and other community resources and promote child development. The  Advocate maintains relationships with identified clients and provides support via weekly home visits. They will also attend community meetings and trainings, keep accurate written records; and uses organization database. We seek motivated individuals, knowledgeable about community resources, with good computer skills. Ability to work well with people, good organizational skills.  Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  High school diploma required.  Associate/ Bachelor degree strongly encouraged.

EHS Teacher | South Philadelphia

MCC is seeking a teacher for the Early Head Start program to assist with the implementation of the education program as outlined in both the adopted curriculum and the Head Start Performance Standards. The EHS teacher communicates daily with parents and staff regarding educational strengths and/or concerns of enrolled children, writes daily lesson plans and individualized daily schedules for each child, records daily observations and conducts quarterly home visits.

We seek interested individuals with experience working with young children (preferably infants or toddlers) and working with parents and community volunteers. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA in Infant/Toddler is required. The position is in South Philadelphia.  Individuals who are bilingual in Spanish/English and in Indonesian/English are encouraged to apply.
